This page explains how to request deletion of your Smart Collect account and the associated personal data. The Smart Collect apps — Smart Collect Admin (for collection coordinators) and Smart Collect Driver (for drivers) — are operated by INFOSHARE CONSULTING SRL and are used by the staff of the waste-collection operators on the platform. Find your app in the list below and follow the steps for that app. If you only want to delete some data without closing your account, see Delete some of your data.
Whichever Smart Collect app you use, you can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing dpo@smartcollect.eco from the email address linked to your account. We complete the deletion within at most 30 days and email you a confirmation. App-specific steps are below.
1. Find your app and follow the steps
Smart Collect Admin
The Smart Collect Admin app (for collection coordinators) is used by operator staff. To delete your account:
- from the email address linked to your account, send an email to dpo@smartcollect.eco;
- use the subject Account deletion request - Smart Collect Admin;
- to verify your identity, we may ask you to confirm the email address linked to your account;
- if your account was created for you by the collection operator you work with, we may coordinate with them before deleting it;
- we complete the deletion within at most 30 days and email you a confirmation.
Smart Collect Driver
The Smart Collect Driver app (for collection drivers) is used by operator staff. To delete your account:
- from the email address linked to your account, send an email to dpo@smartcollect.eco;
- use the subject Account deletion request - Smart Collect Driver;
- to verify your identity, we may ask you to confirm the email address linked to your account;
- if your account was created for you by the collection operator you work with, we may coordinate with them before deleting it;
- we complete the deletion within at most 30 days and email you a confirmation.
2. What data we delete
When your request is completed, we permanently delete or anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including:
- account and identity data: first and last name, email address, phone number, password and profile photo;
- your profile, preferences, role and the regions or routes assigned to you;
- device identifiers, push-notification tokens and location data linked to your account;
- in-app correspondence and support messages tied to your account.
3. What data we keep, and for how long
Some data must be retained for a limited period where the law requires it or to protect legitimate interests — in particular the operational records that collection operators are legally required to keep. Where possible, such data is anonymised so it can no longer identify you. Retention periods are:
- Operational records you created (collection records, weights, digital receipts and signatures) — kept as business records, dissociated from your personal identity where possible, for the period required by the legislation applicable to collection operators;
- Technical logs — up to 2 years;
- Correspondence with us (including the deletion request) — up to 24 months after it is resolved;
- Aggregated or anonymised data — which can no longer identify you, may be kept indefinitely.
Once these periods expire, the data is permanently deleted or anonymised.
